HIGH SCHOOLClasses are provided for children ages 3 through 18 from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. each Sunday (September through June). The curriculum used for the Senior High class is "Encounter” published by Standard Publishing and for all other classes the "Grow Proclaim Serve” published by Cokesbury Press curriculum is used. On select Sundays all classes meet together to make crafts or decorations for the church or to do service-oriented projects, such as fill and send care packages to our college students during exam time. Youth group is available for children 7th – 12th grade. Wentz's Youth Group meets every other Sunday at 6:30 p.m. at the church or other designated location. The youth, along with the group's parent advisors, often plan fun activities away from the church, such as bowling or tubing at local facilities, participate in Community Outreach such as The CropWalk, and in the summer spend 3 days in Wildwood, New Jersey at the annual Beach Retreat. A favorite part of the Beach Retreat is the trip to the Wildwood Senior Center where the youth play games with the residents and help to serve meals. The Youth Group also sponsor events which benefit the church, such as the Dessert Competition or Murder Mystery Theater where they plan all aspects of the event and provide a full meal for those who attend. From the very young to high school students, the youth choirs here at Wentz's offer opportunity for the children of the congregation to contribute to worship while receiving wonderful music instruction.
Our youngest singers comprise the Cherub Choir. These singers perform multiple times during the year at the 10:45 a.m. service and practice together every Sunday following the children's' message.
Older students - from middle school to some seriously dedicated high school singers - are put together in different arrangements to sing at church, but also at our summer picnic and other special events throughout the year.
The teaching expertise of our choir directors allows for vocal coaching, giving our gifted soloists and instrumentalists a chance to shine.
